Blackout Creative Arts is an independent theatre company focusing on engaging young people through the arts, to support, develop and adapt new writing, and create work extensively with emerging playwrights.
Previously we have been collaborating with young people in their community to find topics that affect their everyday life, and to find ways of portraying these in the best possible way.
Our aim is to create awareness of specific social issues and it is important for us as a production company to find projects that links directly to what is going on around us, and to produce work that is innovative, interactive and current.
